Our non-woven nylon abrasives have definite advantages over normal coated abrasive products in certain
applications. KLINGSPOR’s line of abrasive impregnated non-woven products is one of the finest on the
market today.
Heavy “Scrim” backed materials for surface conditioning belts and discs are available to meet the most
stringent needs of metalworking operations. A variety of finishes can be achieved with selections in the line –
extra coarse, coarse, medium,very fine and super fine.
Our lighter weight non-woven material is available for hand
pad use in grades coarse, fine, general purpose/very fine,
ultra fine, and a white no abrasive version.
These finishing flapwheels consist of non-woven abrasive and aluminum oxide abrasive cloth. Flaps of
the two materials are alternated throughout the circumference of the wheel and are attached to a solid
core. KLINGSPOR Finishing Flapwheels are a flexible abrasive product which offer a smoother and more
blended finish than regular abrasive mops. Ideal applications are on metals, but also works well on wood
or plastic. Available diameters: 6-1/2”, 8” with a 2" width.
KLINGSPOR Flap Brushes have proven themselves to be some of the best in the industry. With full
production capabilities, a large variety of sizes and mounting methods are available in both full
non-woven and interleaf options. The most popular are our 4-1/4” x 4” wheels with 3/4” keyway
mounting or a 5/8-11” spin-on version. Also in the line-up are larger bench-mounted options in
common sizes like 8” and 12” diameters. Finally, 1/4” spindle-mounted models are available as well.
Non-woven abrasive mops that are suitable for matte, satin, and final finishing work on all
metals. These are 1/4” spindle-mounted wheels for use with portable or off-hand power tools.
Available diameters: 2-3/8” and 3-1/8”.
KLINGSPOR Convolute wheels are smooth running, non-metallic, soft and smear-resistant.
They create less operator fatigue, no contamination of the workpiece, reduce gouging, and
provide a faster stock removal rate. Perfect for applications like blending mill marks, machine
mismatches, reducing uneven edges between surfacesand surface roughness prior to welding,
removal of medium burrs, light flashing, parting lines, light adhesive overflow, smoothing radii
on stamped parts, polishing welds and blending and polishing handling marks. Available sizes
are 6”, 8” and 12” diameter. Medium and hard density.
Flapwheels consist of hundreds of resin bonded cloth aluminum oxide abrasive sheets firmly attached
to a balanced core. Abrasive Flapwheels quickly take the contours of the workpiece being ground or
polished, making them ideal for convex and concave surfaces, profiles, or internal surfaces.
Suitable for all metals, plastic, and wood.
Available diameters: 4”, 5-1/2”, 6-1/2”, 8”, 10”, 12”, 14”, 16”.
The Small Abrasive Flapwheel consists of resin-bonded aluminum oxide abrasive cloth flaps
attached to a spindle-mounted core. These flapwheels are used on portable or off-hand power
tools to grind, polish, debur, or finish small and/or hard-to-handle parts. Suitable on metals,
plastics and wood. Available in diameters: 1”, 1-1/2”, 2”, 2-1/2”, and 3”.
