Silicon Carbide
A sharp, very hard and brittle grain that
works best on glass, plastics, rubber, ceramics and solid surface materials.

Open vs. Closed Coat
Closed coat means, that 100% of the backing is covered with abrasive grain. This provides highest aggression and finest finish.
50-70% of the backing is covered with
open coats. This leads to a reduced amount
of sanding refuse trapped between grains,
increasing the lifetime of your abrasive.
